CECE was established in May 1996 as an independent Chinese evangelical church. It currently serves approximately 90 adults across Chinese-speaking and English-speaking ministries, plus approximately 25 children.

The church currently has a part-time English pastor, and is in search of a full-time pastor to oversee the whole church.

Description
Pastor to minister within Edinburgh and the surrounding localities. Duties will involve pastoral, teaching and outreach amongst Mandarin, Cantonese and English speaking peoples of Chinese descent. Pastoral candidates, should therefore have a Masters Degree in Theology with considerable experience of working within a leadership role, as well as a fluent communicator written and orally - in Mandarin, Cantonese and English. This is a demanding position as such the Church is prayerfully looking to engage the right person in God, a dedicated, gifted pastor with an inspired teaching ministry, ability, calling and passion to train and motivate the congregation to holiness of life and outreach. Successful applicants will be required to provide a standard disclosure, the employer will pay the costs.

• Holds a BDiv, MDiv, or equivalent from an accredited theological seminary
• Rich pastoral experience; especially with serving in a Chinese church in the UK
• Gifted in preaching and teaching, and able to offer pastoral care and leadership
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, and able to communicate in English
