The theme for 2026 is &#8216;<strong>Renewed Through the Living Word<\/strong>&#8216;. Let us all learn to empty ourselves and be renewed by God&#8217;s word.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We are still <strong>in search for new Sunday School teachers and helpers<\/strong>. If you are interested in serving, please contact the church staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>mooncake-making activity <\/strong>will be held in the Church Hall after worship today. All who have registered are welcome to join. Fee: \u00a32 per person (same for adults and children).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CECE <strong>Autumn Outing<\/strong> will take place at Dalkeith Country Park from 11:30 am-2:30 pm on Saturday, 26th September. Activities include picnic, hymn sharing and simple games. Please <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfp_0-OE9oz2GUSVn9Zb-WHDSoSXlx8thYb5_aLS812R7RwXA\/viewform?pli=1\">sign-up here<\/a> by 20th September. Everyone is encouraged to join!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Joint Worship Service and Holy Communion<\/strong> will be held next Sunday in English and Cantonese, with Mandarin translation available. All baptised believers are warmly invited to share in the Lord\u2019s Supper.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>Mandarin<\/strong> <strong>Gospel Meeting<\/strong> will be held at CECE on Friday, October 9, from 7:00\u20139:00 p.m., organised by the Christian International Theological College (CITC). Rev. Tsu-Kung Chuang will be the guest speaker. Please invite non-Christian friends and relatives to join us and hear the gospel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gift Aid<\/strong> is an arrangement that allows charities (including churches) to reclaim tax on a donation made by a UK taxpayer. This means every \u00a31 donation will be worth 25p more, at no extra cost to the giver. Thank you for your cooperation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prayer Requests<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For church ministry<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"color:#000000a3;font-size:16px;font-style:normal;font-weight:200\" class=\"wp-block-list has-text-color\">\n<li>The church theme for 2026 is &#8216;<strong>Renewed Through the Living Word<\/strong>&#8216;. We pray that the Lord will continue to draw us along, using this new theme and related plans to help brothers and sisters in Christ learn, listen, and allow their spiritual lives to be renewed and transformed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pray for the <strong>pastoral team<\/strong> of the church, that the Lord may keep them and watch over their physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please continue to pray for the Children\u2019s <strong>Sunday School <\/strong>preparations and arrangements. There is still a shortage of teachers and assistants. May the Lord guide the opening arrangements for each class and inspire suitable people to respond to His calling and serve faithfully.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please pray for the upcoming <strong>Mandarin gospel meeting<\/strong> on 9th October. May God guide all preparations and lead our non-Christian friends and relatives to hear the gospel and receive His salvation and abundant life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For individual needs<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"color:#000000a3;font-size:16px;font-style:normal;font-weight:200\" class=\"wp-block-list has-text-color\">\n<li>Pray for those who are <strong>physically weak, mentally tired and emotionally burdened<\/strong> these days. Pray for peace of mind and body, spiritual rest and strength.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please pray for people who have <strong>recently arrived in the UK<\/strong> to begin a new chapter of life, whether for <strong>relocation or study<\/strong>. May the Lord guide them as they settle in and adapt, giving them peace and security. Pray that they will come to know and accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please pray for our <strong>university students<\/strong> as the new academic year has just started. May they experience God\u2019s presence and guidance in their studies and campus life. Please also pray for those who have completed their studies and left Edinburgh, that the Lord will lead them in the next stage of their journey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For the world&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"color:#000000a3;font-size:16px;font-style:normal;font-weight:200\" class=\"wp-block-list has-text-color\">\n<li>Please continue to pray for peace amid the ongoing <strong>US\u2013Iran conflict<\/strong>. May the sovereign Lord bring protection, wisdom, and restraint, ease the growing tensions in the Middle East, and grant peace and security to all affected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please pray for the <strong>UK economy<\/strong> and the well-being of its people. With rising fuel prices, inflation has increased from 2.9% in July to 3.1%.
